This morning I wake up with a message from Kate… Fake accounts on Facebook, haha… This isn’t the first time this has happened to me, some girl did it to me on myspace with photos of me snowboarding saying it was her. Katlyn also had this happen to her earlier in the year on facebook, now there is another… Katlyn Mudrza and Carley Vanular nice to meet you world, from creepy stocker fb wannabees.
Saturday we all had to work. Kate at Aritzia, Steph was being a nanny and I was working at TNA. I was having a really boring day untill Megan came into work with a suprise for me. She knows I love trying new things, trying anything really… New things today being YELLOW WATERMELON. I then learnt that watermelon can be orange, yellow, pink or red. We are just acustom to red/pink watermelon because it is what is mass produced. Yellow watermelon is actually almost better then normal. ANYWAYS after work we hopping in the car and drove down to Vancouver. The drive was insane. The nicest drive I have ever had down the 99. The sky was bright yellow, it looked asif it was on fire. Closer to van it became purple/red/blue and there were rainbows shining through the rain. It started thunderstorming… my favourite. We watched and drove and took in the insane landscape of where we live.
When we got to Vancouver we met up with Ash B who was getting candy at her friends work. We then tried to get a bottle of wine a hard task because of all the liquor laws in Canada. We arrived at Chrigy’s kate and steph were a little stressed out by then but the wine helped loosen them up. We chilled out ate candy and laughed. Eventually walked down to the Modern in Gastown. It was more fun outside, adventures after to babylon cafe and pita pit. Chrigy’s was hot.. Kate and I woke up in her bed fully spralled out to keep cool. It was hilarious I wish someone got a photo. We woke up early and headed out. Started the day with Jugo Juice (bad idea) haha and walked the sea wall. We then got on a ferry to Granville Island. We cruised the market and art shops. Kate and Steph got their future told by physics , I didn’t have the money to waste on that. While wondering I wondered past Emily Carr. The place where I would like to attend school. I saw live music, taste testers, live art, silk weaving, berries, plushies, every ethnic food you can imagine and lots more. We then headed back to the city, strolled the sea wall to the skate park to say hi to Toby. We all then went to Third Beach. We got concession food for lunch and it was really yummy. Played in the ocean and took lots of photos. After that we did a bit of shopping, and then went to our spot the Pirate Pub. We had a cold beer, which is out of character but seriously delicious for the hot weather and cap of the day. We drove home and jammed to music and told funny stories from our pasts… a good day indeed.
The weather was beautiful again here in Whistler. Blue skies, hot temps, long summer days.. I am loving it. Another day off of work, I woke up earlier today and ate a hearty bowl of Almond Flax Kashi with raspberries, blueberries and rice milk. SO GOOD. Then I hopped on my bike and headed to the lake, did some serious ray soaking in, and swimming in the lake and then headed to Kate’s so she could get ready for work. We went to subway for lunch mine cost 2.99 for a 6 inch veggie… it was so good. Then I biked home and hung-out in my backyard listening to music and reading. So relaxing and perfect, the day randomly ended with a quick thunderstorm.. damn I love/miss thunderstorms.
Today was beautiful weather in Whistler, blue skies, hot temperatures and no work for me. I was sleeping in, which is a terrible habit lately and thankfully got woken up by a text. A text from Ashley Barker inviting me down to watch some fireworks in the city. The idea sounded splendid and a coincidence that Steph Weber and I had been talking about how we would love to see some fireworks the night before. So I jumped on my Iphone and texted the girls. We acquired a good crew consisting of Steph Weber, Katlyn Murdza, Jessica Annabell and myself. After Steph and Kate got off work we all showered and met up to head down to the city. We listened to loud house music and told embarrassing stories from childhood in the car. The ride was quick and when we got to Vancouver we parked at Chrigy’s place. Once we were settled we started walking from Yaletown to English Bay. Looking for a restaurant that would satisfy all our taste-buds. Katlyn is a picky eater who loves straight american style food. I personally don’t like wasting money on boring food and love to enjoy ethnic cheap food while in the city. These requirements make it hard to find a balance of where we eat. We settled on this Pirate pub on the water which turned out to be perfect. Jess and I split bang bang shrimp and a salad, Katlyn had muscles, Steph and Chrig had skillets. We finished up dinner right as the Fireworks were starting. I was trying to lead all the girls towards where Ashley was but they were highly distracted by lights, needs and cute boys on bicycles. Steph went off too dip her feet in the ocean and Katlyn fell in a hole in the beach. This random guy holding a piece of cardboard and boo’s yelled at the “pretty ladies”. His named was Scott, he was a little intoxicated and alone with a cardboard drawing of Tupac. We welcomed him into our grouping of friends and we watched the rest of the fireworks with him. After they were done, it was a sea of people walking down the streets of Vancouver. We walked aimlessly trying to make it to Rock Mountain Chocolate Factory before they closed for candy apples. We didn’t make it on time, so we walked back to Chrigys. We got ahold of one of Scotts friends to bring Scott too him before we left for home. We then dropped Scott off at Park Royal to his friend who didn’t like us too much and were off….back on the 99 north towards Whistler. We made a stop in Squamish and acquired lots of free food from Rick James of Tim Hortons. What a night.
